| Welcome to MORTAL MIRROR, the working studio title for artist John Ashton Golden, aka JAG. That’s me! Thanks for visiting the site. Here you will find a wide selection of portfolio pieces to browse, with special emphasis on my Sequential Art (i.e.; Comic Book and Graphic Novel) work. This is absolutely my most satisfying medium of artistic expression, and it is my goal to produce independent stories as well as work actively in established realms of this wonderful industry. Sequential Art and the Visual Narrative is endlessly rife with creative possibilities and I am dedicated to honing my skills, gaining the attention of industry professionals, and becoming a Vital Force in its future!!! I am currently available for freelance, contract, private commission, and potentially full-time services. I produce Illustration and Graphic Design work for graphic novel publishing, film, television, book publishing, editorial, and advertising industries. |
My style and approach to any given project is versatile and sensitive to its nature, yet always of consistently professional quality, rates, and reliability. I am proficient in a wide variety of both traditional and digital mediums, including Ink, Oils, Acrylics, Watercolor, Marker, Colored Pencil, Pastel, Photo Collage, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Quark Express, and naturally, Mixed Media. I am currently in the midst of adding Corel Painter, Flash, and some Web Design programs to my roster of abilities.
